Cyber security specialist Foregenix is establishing its first office in Germany as it aims to build on its expanding central European client base.
The new office in Mainz will open in May and be led by David Jenkins, a fluent German speaker with 20 years’ experience in the cyber security industry.
Foregenix, which is based in the UK and already has successful operations in South Africa, Uruguay and the USA, works with some of the world’s largest payment companies, central banks and online businesses and also offers products to help SMEs to combat cyber crime.
The German office reflects its continuing export success. Overseas sales have doubled in two years to reach £3.5m (€ 4.1m) in 2016, equivalent to 67% of its turnover. Foregenix was the only cyber security business to be named in The Sunday Times top 100 SME Exporters this year.
David Jenkins comments: “Foregenix has already established a growing client base across Europe and the new office will give us a stronger presence in the market. German businesses are knowledgeable about the dangers of cyber attacks, understand the need to protect their operations and want high-level security products and consultancy.”
